{"id":1054,"date":"2020-03-11T08:31:18","date_gmt":"2020-03-11T08:31:18","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/thesoil.co.zw\/?p=1054"},"modified":"2020-03-11T08:31:24","modified_gmt":"2020-03-11T08:31:24","slug":"arrupe-jesuit-university-tackles-climate-change-issues","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/thesoil.co.zw\/index.php\/2020\/03\/11\/arrupe-jesuit-university-tackles-climate-change-issues\/","title":{"rendered":"Arrupe Jesuit University Tackles Climate Change Issues."},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Last Week, Arrupe Jesuit University held a seminar on climate change issues and its effects at their campus in Harare.<br \/>The event which was attended by several experts, college students, researchers, business people, and many others outlined how climate changes have caused some damages to Zimbabweans and Africans yet they are contributing less in causing climate disturbances and changes.<\/p>\n<p><br \/>Director for Advocate4Earth Mr. Lenin Chisaira outlined that poor countries do not contribute much in emissions yet they are the ones that suffer a lot of natural disasters. He added on to say that Zimbabwe needs to partake in conserving the climate by stating laws that help the country to use clean energy.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThere will be 30% higher emissions in 2030 .Richer countries are supposed to pay for emissions as they contribute more to the climate changes , however they are not cooperating.Zimbabwe needs to come up with proper laws of conserving the climate ,\u201dhe said .<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><br \/>Another environmental expert Dr. Evaristus Ekwueme who is the Pro Vice Chancellor at Arrupe Jesuit college also added that climate changes were causing many people to migrate from one place to another .He also added that the changes were causing violence among humans as they are fighting to live comfortably.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><br \/>He said \u201cJust like animals, people also move to greener pastures, people love to live comfortably and those with money will buy houses to better places .
